
Chinese tourist sought over attack on transgender woman in Pattaya

A 22-year-old Chinese citizen is being sought in Pattaya for a brutal attack on a 25-year-old transgender woman at a hotel. The incident gained widespread attention after a video from the hotel room was published, showing the victim with injuries and signs of disorder in the room. According to the victim, the man was beating her and holding her in the room. As a result of the attack, she required around 30 stitches on her face, hand, and leg. Hotel staff reported to the police that the suspect quickly left the room immediately after the incident, without taking his deposit. CCTV cameras captured him hastily getting into a taxi. Immigration authorities confirmed that the suspect departed Thailand on the morning of May 25. Thai authorities are currently preparing a request for cooperation with the Chinese side for further investigation.
