Compensation paid to families of victims in train-bus crash, drivers charged

Thai authorities have completed the payment of compensation to families affected by the tragic train and bus crash. This was announced by Transport Minister Siripong Ankaksakulkit. Eight people died as a result of the incident. Six families have already received 2.9 million baht in compensation. An additional 300,000 baht for each of the remaining victims must be approved by the relevant rights protection fund. Drivers whose vehicles were parked on the railway tracks have been charged with traffic violations. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
