The Prime Minister of Thailand instructed the Ministry of Interior and Police to work in tandem, exchange data, and act together to enhance security. He demanded independence from external interference.

During the meeting, the prime minister highlighted the importance of coordination among various law enforcement agencies for more effective crime fighting and ensuring citizen safety. He also emphasized the need for independence from external interference to strengthen trust in police forces.

As part of the efforts to enhance safety on Phuket, local authorities continue to combat various crimes. For example, in the last month, more than 10,000 firearm possession permits (License .4) were issued, indicating an increased interest in this issue among locals and tourists.

Additionally, the police conducted a raid against illegal hotels on Phuket. Several establishments owned by foreigners were discovered, which caused concern among local authorities.

During the inspection of one of the hotels, it was found to have been used for illegal activities. The police also conducted a review raid of the land fund on Phuket and found that over 400 plots were illegally seized by foreigners.

Additionally, the police encountered a problem of money theft from a bank ATM in a large shopping center. The criminals used fake documents to identify themselves as foreigners and successfully stole more than 600,000 baht.

In light of these events, local authorities have stepped up security measures and continue to work on improving the crime control system. In the near future, a meeting with consulate representatives is planned to discuss measures to prevent such cases in the future.

Further steps will depend on the results of the investigation and decisions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs level.
