
Israeli citizen detained for illegal activity and land ownership on Koh Phangan

Yesterday, June 10, an Israeli citizen was detained at Samui International Airport on suspicion of illegal activities and land ownership on Koh Phangan. According to the Center for Combating Transnational Crime and Illegal Immigration (CTIC), the man is suspected of using nominees to manage a business, which is a violation of Thai law. In May of this year, the CTIC reported the issuance of 45 arrest warrants for similar offenses. The detainee is also suspected of illegal land ownership, which is a serious violation of local legislation.
