Shooting during funeral in Bangkok: one dead, two injured

On Saturday evening, an unknown gunman opened fire on a crowd gathered for funeral services at the Bueng Thong Lang temple (Bang Kap district). According to witnesses, a long-haired man in black clothing fired several shots.

As a result, one person died and two others were injured. The police quickly arrived at the scene and began their investigation.

According to sources from the Bangkok Post, the gunman was wearing a black jacket and pants and had long hair. Witnesses reported that the man appeared anxious before shooting.

Interior Minister Anutin expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and called for a fair investigation. He urged the police to enhance security measures at funeral services and other large gatherings.

At present, the police are continuing interrogations of witnesses and reviewing surveillance video footage to determine the reasons for the shooting. The reason for the shooting remains unknown as of now.
