Vikhitsky police raid led to the arrest of 12 people

A police raid in Vichit targeting the illegal drug and weapon trade resulted in 12 arrests, according to The Phuket News. The operation, conducted over one day, allowed the police to detain suspects involved in various crimes.

During the raid, ten modified motorcycles were also seized. Additionally, police found methamphetamine and weapons in a car at a checkpoint in Phuket.

These actions are part of an ongoing operation against illegal drug and weapon trafficking. Police also carried out raids at entertainment venues aimed at identifying the use of minors.

At one luxurious villa, a Thai citizen and a Norwegian woman were arrested for suspected drug distribution. During the operation, a serious car accident involving a police officer occurred, who died at the scene.

These events are continuing to develop, and further steps will depend on the results of the investigation. Currently, all those detained remain in custody awaiting trial.
