It is known that the Russian arrived in Thailand on August 10, just four days before the incident.

At Suvarnabhim Airport, a 23-year-old Russian man caused a dangerous incident that forced security services to carry out a large-scale operation. On the second floor near arrivals at noon on August 14th, the man found himself outside the controlled terminal zone.

He was shouting loudly and behaving unusually, then climbed over the barrier and ended up in a potentially hazardous area. Police, security personnel, rescue workers, medics, and psychologists were dispatched to the scene.

An air cushion was laid out just in case under him. Initially, staff tried to distract the Russian man as approaching directly was risky.

In the decisive moment, Wuttipat Busuwa, the head of security, managed to approach the man and pull him back over the barrier. Fortunately, the operation ended without a fall or injuries.

None of the passengers, airport employees, or law enforcement personnel were harmed. The air cushion also turned out not to be needed.

Afterward, the Russian man was taken to the airport police station where he was given time to calm down; afterwards, the police planned to conduct an interrogation. Authorities contacted his embassy and family members.

Police also checked his travel records. It is known that the Russian arrived in Thailand on August 10th, just four days before the incident.

He had a ticket for a flight to Samui at 20:05 on the evening of August 14th. The reasons for his behavior are still unknown.

Police plan to clarify the circumstances after further questioning the man.
