Four foreign tourists were arrested with marijuana in Phuket.

At Phuket Airport, the police arrested four foreign tourists who were found with marijuana on them during a search of passengers arriving from various countries. According to local media reports, in one case 32 kilograms of marijuana was discovered, and in another, 17 kilograms. The total weight of the marijuana found amounted to approximately 49 kilograms. As reported by The Phuket News and Khaosod English, the incident occurred last week at Phuket Airport. The police arrested two women and two men from different countries, including a Russian, Uzbeks, a Belgian, and another woman. During the search, more than 32 kilograms of marijuana was found. Thaiger reported that two Uzbek nationals were apprehended with 17 kg of marijuana, as well as a Belgian woman who was detained with 16 kg. Together, this amounts to approximately 33 kilograms. The Phuket police are continuing the investigation and clarifying the details of the incident. Currently, all those arrested are under the supervision of law enforcement for further investigation.
