Teenagers Arrested After Street Shooting in Phuket

In Phuket, the police arrested several teenagers after they carried out an open street shooting. The incident occurred in one of the city's districts around 20:00 local time on August 14.

According to sources from The Phuket News and PHUKET XTRA, the police received a report about the shooting and quickly arrived at the scene. The responding units apprehended several suspects who were in a state of excitement after a conflict.

"These were teenagers from the local area," one of the policemen reported. "They opened fire on passersby and other young people." The police conducted searches at the scene and found several cartridges, which were discovered under the BMW of one of the arrested individuals.

"We have sent all those arrested to the police station for further investigation," a representative of Phuket's police department noted. "The court proceedings will be conducted according to the maximum article of the law as we have evidence of their involvement in the crime." At present, all those arrested are at the police station for questioning and further investigation.

The police are also conducting an inquiry into possible weapon possession among local teenagers. "We urge young people to abide by the law and not participate in such crimes," added a police representative.
