HUA HIN. Behind the beaches and training camps, a dispute over luxury cars allegedly ended in punches on a gym floor — bruises, a hospital file number, and a complaint at the local station.

According to the complainant — a Russian writer and historian living in the Hua Hin area — on the afternoon of 26 June 2026 he went to Petch Gym Muay Thai at 10/560 Soi 94, Hua Hin. He says he only wanted to talk about luxury vehicles (including a Porsche Cayenne and a BMW X6) that he claims he helped finance, while control remained with the gym owner and associates.

He says he carried no weapon and made no threats. The conversation, in his account, turned into an assault: blows, being pushed to the ground, injuries to the shoulder and legs.

Hospital and police
On 27 June he sought care at Hua Hin Hospital. Medical papers note physical assault; he cites treatment costs above 20,000 baht paid in cash. Injury photos and video he links to the incident were, he says, submitted with his materials.

On 24 June a related report about the same vehicles was already logged at the station. An assault statement was prepared for filing at the end of June. At publication time it was not confirmed whether a full criminal investigation had been opened or whether the named parties had been summoned.

Public information about the gym
The gym is known as Petch Gym Muay Thai. Open Muay Thai coverage refers to the owner/coach as Petch; the same sources name Sofiane Mohamed (publicly described as Algerian; gym opened around February 2020). The complaint also mentions the owner’s wife in connection with the car dispute. Thai company: PETCH GYM MUAY THAI CO., LTD.

What authorities are asked
The complainant asks Hua Hin Police to pursue assault and intimidation and to coordinate with Immigration on visa and business status of those linked to the gym — against the backdrop of recent high-profile Hua Hin cases that ended in hard measures including removal from Thailand.

Report.in.th stresses this is the complainant’s account. The gym’s response and official police/immigration comments were not obtained at publication; we will publish them if provided.
